At the Special Town Meeting on February 7, the Town voted to move the Town Charter forward.  The next step is approval by the State Legislature, signature from the Governor, and then a local ballot vote on November 6, 2012.  Acceptance of the Charter will not be complete until after these steps, including an majority vote in favor at the ballot.  For a text of the Charter as amended at Town Meeting, see the attachment.
