Hubbardston COVID-19 Update - Closing Playground Equipment

The Parks Commission in conjunction with the Board of Health and the Executive Office are ordering the closure of town playground equipment for public use. Earlier this week, the Quabbin Regional School District closed playground facilities to the public including equipment at the Center School. All playground equipment will be closed to the public for as long as Massachusetts is in a State of Emergency.

However, the recreational fields remain open! Residents are encouraged to take a walk in the park, enjoy the outdoors and have fun - all while maintaining a social distance of six feet!

This decision is being in an made in an abundance of caution to protect the public and prevent the continued spread of COVID-19. This is consistent with guidance from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and Department of Conservation and Recreation.
