Hubbardston Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Public Survey

survey

**IMPORTANT**

PUBLIC INPUT REQUESTED

Online webinar and survey available June 3rd – June 16th

The Town of Hubbardston was awarded a Planning Grant from the Massachusetts
Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) Grant Program. This program
provides technical and financial support for communities to plan for and mitigate
impacts from climate change. By completing this project, Hubbardston will be
designated an MVP Program Community and will be eligible for federal FEMA
Grant programs, as well as State MVP Action Grants for the implementation of
climate adaptation projects.

The Hubbardston MVP Planning project objective is to create a list of priority action
items to advance the community’s resilience to climate hazards. In March and April,
a group of stakeholders including town staff and board members met virtually in five
separate meetings to identify Hubbardston’s top four climate hazards, as well as
strengths, vulnerabilities, and recommendations for next steps to mitigate the climate
hazards.

The pre-recorded webinar provides an overview of the MVP Program and the results
of these meetings and other project materials that informed the draft MVP Summary
of Findings Report
. After watching the video and reviewing the draft report, please
consider providing feedback through an online survey as public input is an important
component of this project. The survey will be available from June 3rd to June 16th
and should take no longer than 5-7 minutes to complete. Feedback from this survey
will be captured in the final MVP Summary of Findings Report which will be
available on this website by the end of June.
