EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM - SWIFT 911

The Rutland Regional Dispatch Center is now utilizing a new communications service that allows Police and Town Officials to quickly and efficiently alert and inform residents in the event of an emergency.

Subscribers will receive alerts via text message, email, voice messaging, the Police Department's social media pages (Facebook, Twitter), and the Swift911 Public mobile app for a variety of emergency events, including road closures and detours due to traffic accidents, flooding or construction, weather alerts, power outages, missing persons, crime information, as well as other relevant safety and community event information.

Once registered you can log in at any time to update your contact information and add or remove yourself from available list subscriptions.

Sign up NOW!  It's FREE.

Signing up is easy.  The system will already have your home number if it is listed.  Include your mobile phone, office number and emails when you sign up.

After registering for Swift911, you can add additional Phone Numbers to your Account, as well as information such as Family Members. To receive the alerts on your desired phone (if you have added more than one), you can prioritize which one will receive the alert first by moving them up or down accordingly in the Priority section of the Phone List. In order to receive the alerts via email, remove any phone numbers from your Contact Information. To add multiple email addresses, simply place a semi-colon (;) between each email address.
