Updated COVID-19 Response - Additional Safety Measures and Remote Services

Covid 19 Update

The Town of Hubbardston will continue to provide updates to the public regarding our COVID-19 response and its impact on resident services. Here is a link to a detailed description of current response measures and program impacts

** Town Buildings remain closed to the public until March 31, 2020 **

Here are some measures resulting from the Governor Baker's orders issued on March 15, 2020. To see the Governor's full order, click here.

1.) School has been cancelled through April 6, 2020. This is statewide.

2.) Most gatherings in town are limited to 25 people.

3.) Restaurants/bars are prohibited from providing on-premise consumption of food and drink until April 6, 2020. These establishments are limited to take-out services only.

Here are some of the highlights of our expanded remote services. For full details, click here.

1.) All emails, phone calls and mail will be responded to in a timely manner. Working and communicating with the public remotely is our staff's number one responsibility while town offices are closed.

2.) All senior services will continue with some minor restrictions. This includes Meals on Wheels, MART transportation, produce/egg pick up and a staff of dedicated volunteers for medication and grocery pick up.

3.) Tax collection and permitting will continue remotely

4.) Inspections will continue (health and building)

5.) The library will offer creative service delivery during this time frame - virtual story time and possible continued book-loan services offered remotely

6.) Public meetings will likely continue next week with the introduction of publicly accessible virtual meeting software. More guidance on this to come.

The Town of Hubbardston will continue to engage its resilient and talented staff to provide government services and some normalcy during this difficult time. Questions, suggestions and comments from the public are welcomed and encouraged.

Take care of yourselves and your families
