Annual Town Meeting is typically held on the first Tuesday in June but may be held at another date prior to the end of the fiscal year at the discretion of the Board of Selectmen.
Annual and Special Town Meetings are called by the Board of Selectmen through the issuing and posting of a warrant that shall include all subjects to be discussed at the meeting. The operating budget for the upcoming fiscal year is presented and voted on at Annual Town Meeting.
Town of Hubbardston General Bylaws Chapter II addresses Town Meetings. The procedure and conduct of the business meetings of the Town not provided for in the Town of Hubbardston General Bylaws shall be governed by "Town Meeting Time, A Handbook of Parliamentary Law” so far as they are applicable and are not inconsistent with said bylaws.
Warrant articles and Special Town Meetings may be petitioned by voters of the Town according to MGL Chapter 39, Section 10.
