Volunteers Wanted!

The Town of Hubbardston is looking for volunteers to help run the town and guide Hubbardston's future! This is a great time to volunteer as all appointments will expire in June and all meetings are being held via Zoom.

If you are interested in serving your town or want more information, please email the Board of Selectmen.

Here are some of the current openings:

Vietnam Memorial Committee (3 positions)

* Advises the Board of Selectmen about the creation of a Hubbardston Vietnam Memorial

Agricultural Commission (1 position)

* Works with the town to support local farmers and help preserve agricultural lands and rights

Cable Advisory Committee (1 position)

*Guides the local cable channel and helps make government more transparent through meeting coverage

Community Preservation Committee (1 position)

* Helps preserve the town through capital expenditures authorized by local taxes and a state match (historical, recreation, affordable housing)

Memorial Day Committee (4 positions)

* Advises the Board of Selectmen on Memorial Day activities and helps plan the annual Memorial Day Parade

Planning Board (1 position)

* Helps set the future direction of the town by reviewing permits and zoning bylaws and balancing the public good with private rights and interests.
