Bid Invitation - Hubbardston Library Foundation Repairs

The Town of Hubbardston is seeking bids from contractors to repair the foundation of their historic public library building. The main work involves repointing and rebuilding portions of the foundation, especially the front 23-foot section to the right of the stairs as well as some other areas up to 6 feet high.

It requires excavating, removing loose masonry, cutting out and replacing damaged bricks, grinding joints, washing surfaces, applying bonding agent, refilling cavities, and potentially an acid wash. A new drain pipe is also needed.

Sealed bids are due by May 14, 2024 at noon after a pre-bid conference on May 7th. The library's historic status requires careful preservation during construction.
