Closure of Hubbardston Town Offices for Memorial Day - Monday, May 29, 2023

The Hubbardston Town Offices will be closed on Monday, May 29, 2023, in observance of Memorial Day.

Memorial Day holds deep significance for our community as we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in our nation's armed forces. To pay our respects and show our gratitude, The Hubbardston Memorial Day Committee has organized a special ceremony and parade to commemorate their selfless acts of bravery.

As noted in previous correspondence, we invite all residents to join us for the Memorial Day ceremony, which will be held at the Town Center at noon. This solemn event will allow us to reflect, remember, and express our gratitude to those who have given their lives to protect our freedom and values. 

Additionally, we invite you to attend the Memorial Day parade, which will commence at 11:05 AM. The parade route will wind through the town center from the Curtis Recreational Field to the Town Common. We encourage you to line the streets and join us in applauding the participants, including local veterans, community organizations, and first responders. After the services, please join us for free hotdogs from the Hubbardston Lions Club and ice cream, courtesy of Cream Crock Ice Cream of Sterling, across the street at the Senior Center.

This Memorial Day, let us unite as a community to honor the memory of those who sacrificed for our freedom. Through their courage and unwavering dedication, we can enjoy the privileges and liberties we hold dear.
