Hubbardston Citizens Academy Inaugural Session a Success

group

Last night marked the completion of the first ever Hubbardston Citizens Academy. Over the past eight weeks, residents participated in interactive sessions to learn about the inner workings of town government and operations.

The final session featured a presentation from the Select Board on their roles and responsibilities. Participants then received certificates commemorating their completion of the program.

We want to thank everyone who took part in this new civic engagement initiative, especially Land Use Clerk Patricia Lowe, for facilitating the Citizens Academy. The program provided a great opportunity for residents to deepen their understanding of how Hubbardston operates and have their questions answered directly by town staff and officials.

For those who missed out this time, we plan to record the sessions and make them available online soon. We also hope to offer the Hubbardston Citizens Academy again in the winter of 2026 for another round of participants.

Getting involved and educated on local government strengthens our community. We appreciate all the residents who made this inaugural Citizens Academy a resounding success. Stay tuned for more opportunities like this in the future!
