Hubbardston's Holiday Events!
Happy Holidays to everyone! Below you will find information on 4 great events happening in town in the next month.
Town Common Lighting, November 28th @ 6:00pm
Just in time for the Hubbardston Light Fight... Our annual Christmas Tree, Menorah and Town Common lighting will look a bit different this year. We will be having a Facebook live ceremony so you can stay in the comfort of your own home and watch us turn on the Christmas Tree, the Menorah, 8000 tiny white lights on all the surrounding trees and this year we’ve even added lots of deer to the common.
If you feel the need to come see the ceremony in person we will need everyone to please wear your mask, stay in your family groups and spread out! We have plenty of space up the driveway to the church, on the common, at the school and in front of the library for viewing purposes.
Due to COVID this year there will be no singing nor hot cocoa unfortunately. Definitely hopeful things will be back to normal for next year!
Hubbardston Light Fight! First 3 weekends of December!
December 4th, 5th & 6th December 11th, 12th, & 13th December 18th, 19th, & 20th 5-9pm each night.
Can’t think of a better way to share some holiday joy than looking at light displays as we could all use a little bit of joy right now.... So don’t miss out on your chance to enter your display and maybe even win a prize for your efforts. Deadline to enter is December 1st.
Follow the road listing to see all the entries and vote online for your favorite light display! Map listings and voting link will be made available a few days before contest starts.
This year there are 3 categories for entry forms: Traditional-Classic, Go Big or Stay Home and new this year a Business category

Hubbardston Senior Center Annual Christmas Basket Raffle
The Hubbardston Senior Center Annual Christmas Basket drawing is on! We have many festive holiday baskets to pick from. You may view the baskets Friday, November 27th through December 5th from 8:30 to 4:00 p.m. most days. Due to Covid-19 protocals, please call 978-928-1400 ext. 211 to reserve a time slot or you can stop by but have to limit the number of people in the room. Don’t delay and make an appointment today! We also have outside holiday arrangements available on December 5th outside the Senior Center. These can be ordered beforehand by calling 978-928-1400 x211.
Hubbardston Police Department is collecting for the C.H.O.P. program!
Community Holiday Outreach Program, this program and the donations that are provided, help us insure that each child in Hubbardston is able to open gifts on Christmas morning.
This year we have a clear need for toys as several families are struggling through these uncertain times. We have donation boxes at several area businesses as well as one in the police station lobby. Any officer on duty can also accept toys up until Friday, December 18th. If you would rather make a monetary donation, you may do so by sending a check to CHOP, Hubbardston Police Department, 7 Main St. Unit #9, Hubbardston, MA 01452
This fund not only helps families in need around the holidays but also helps families and seniors throughout the year.
