Introducing Hubbardston's New Veterans Service Officer - Lauren Wright

Lauren Wright was interviewed and appointed to the Veteran Service Officer position in late October. Wright serves in the United States Air Force with the Massachusetts Air National Guard in the 102nd Intelligence Wing on Otis Air Force Base, Bourne, Ma. She currently serves as a Cryptologic Intelligence Analyst where she has authored reports recognized by the international intelligence community. In 2022, Wight was activated in support of Task Force Powderhorn’s Covid-19 Response mission.

Wright works full time as a Regional Health Care Navigator for Veteran’s Inc, the largest provider of support services to veterans and their families in New England. In her role at Veteran’s Inc, Wright works with each client in the New England area to identify any barriers that they may have to health care access, develops action plans to break down those barriers, and support Veteran clients in access to health care. Wright works with approximately 500 clients annually. Wright is also President of the Junior Executive Council at Veteran’s Inc. The Council is a peer network to create an innovative, collaborative environment that promotes engagement, professional advancement, and leadership opportunities within the organization.

Wright graduated Anna Maria College with a Bachelor of Arts in Health Sciences in 2015 and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health with a focus in Health Care Management from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. After the completion of her master’s degree, she intends to pursue a Doctorate of Public Health. Wright lives in the City of Worcester with her husband of four years, Nathan Wright, and her cat, Saint Laurent. Wright is passionate about family and fitness.

“I am looking forward to getting to personally know the veteran community in the Town of Hubbardston. I plan to increase VSO community engagement, increase education on veteran services, and increase the volume of services that is provided by the VSO position.
