URGENT REQUEST FROM PLANNING BOARD REGARDING CELL TOWER BALLOON TEST

The Hubbardston Planning Board is urgently seeking your assistance. Vertex, a cell tower company, has proposed a cell tower to be located in a wooded area 1000+ feet behind 14 Main Street. Cell towers require a Special Permit under town zoning and the Planning Board is the permitting authority. 

Vertex is conducting a “balloon test” to demonstrate the height of the tower and its potential impact on the town landscape. The test will be conducted on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 between the hours of 8AM and 2PM (unless winds prohibit, in which case it will be delayed to successive days until winds permit). Vertex is taking photos to submit to the Planning Board showing the balloon from various locations around town. We are asking you to suggest locations in town from which you believe photos should be taken to demonstrate the impact the tower may have. All locations must have public access. Please reply with your suggestions no later than this Friday, June 3, 2022 to Land Use Dept via email Inspect@hubbardstonma.us
