Guidelines For Evaluating Open Space Opportunities
Open Space proposals that address as many of the following specific guidelines as possible will receive preference: Preserve a priority parcel in the Open Space and Recreation Plan as shown on the Hubbardston Open Space and Land Protection Priority Map
- Protect important wildlife habitat
- Protects or reclaims agricultural land
- Protects drinking water quality and quantity
- Protects important water bodies such as wetlands, vernal pools or riparian zones
- Provides connections with existing trails and opportunities for new trails
- Provide opportunities for passive recreation and environmental education
- Preserves a scenic view
- Preserve Hubbardston's rural and agricultural character
