OSRP 2024 Update
Every five years, the Town must update its Open Space & Recreation Plan (OSRP) in order to stay eligible to apply for various grant opportunities from the State. As with the previous two OSRPs, the Open Space Committee has had the primary responsibility for preparing the updated plan. This update summarizes the demographic and physical changes to the community since the previous plan. It reviews and updates the open space and recreation properties and facilities and incorporates community survey results into the discussion. Finally, it presents a vision of Hubbardston’s future recreational and open space ideals, and summarizes needs, challenges, and goals.
The updated plan is currently at a 95% complete stage. It is now being distributed to the following entities for final comments and suggested revisions:
- Select Board
- Town Administrator
- Planning Board
- Conservation Commission
- Parks Commission
- Montachusett Regional Planning Commission
- EOEEA Division of Conservation Services
- Hubbardston town website
The 95% draft document is available for download in two versions - a smaller file with links to the maps contained in the plan, or a larger file that contains all the maps embedded in their proper place within the plan:
